 All programs are conducted in the 50m Aquatic Centre complex. The Aquatic Centre features a movable bulkhead for either 2 x 25m pools or 1 x 50m pool. Additional features include: full diving complex in 16' of deep water, including springboards, platforms and bubbalator. Pool Administration Aquatic Manager: Don McGavern Aquatic Supervisor: Dominique MacDonald Aquatic Supervisor: Michelle McLaren Special Pool Features ° the deep end diving tank features two sparging units for the world famous bubble machine which is used for springboard and platform divers, kayakers and general ocean simulated swims. The diving tank features a full Olympic diving complex, including 2x1 & 3m Max-flex diving boards and related Durafirm adjustable fulcrums and a 3, 5, 7.5 and 10 meter platform complex. ° the adjustable bulkhead is usually located at the 25m mark in the pool. It can be manually moved to either end of the swimming pool or in lesser increments relative to need. The bulkhead moves on rubber wheels. ° two underwater viewing windows are featured in the northwest part of the diving tank and can be used for filming and biomechanical analysis of swimming, diving and synchronized swimming. A pool intercom system connects viewers with the pool area. |
