Main Characteristics
Founded in 1981 by Dr. Benno M. Nigg, the HPL is a multidisciplinary research centre concentrating on the topic of Mobility and Longevity, including the areas of anatomy, biology, biomechanics, motor control, physiology and psychology, with the goal to understand the basics of human mobility and to transfer this knowledge to the general public to allow them to be active and mobile throughout their life span.
